Alex Sistemi S.p.A. specialises in the development of highly engineered modular solutions and plug-and-play systems, designed to operate in critical environments.
Active in the Oil & Gas market since 1988 as Tecnometal and under the Alex Sistemi name since 2002, the company joined Albizzati Group in 2012, bringing with it the Guasticce facility near Livorno and marking the Group’s entry into the defence sector. Unlike many competitors, Alex Sistemi designs and manufactures every module in-house, integrating structural, mechanical, electrical and HVAC systems to ensure full customisation and certified quality standards.
Products
All products are developed to order, with full customisation of dimensions, materials and technological integration: E-House electrical buildings (blast-resistant auxiliary rooms, modular electrical substations and local equipment rooms), laboratories, toxic gas refuges, military expandable and fixed shelters, mobile command units, radar systems, PCM passive shelters and shell and tube heat exchangers.
Role in the Group
Within the Group’s 100% in-house production cycle, Alex Sistemi is responsible for modular design, manufacturing and assembly, and complete system integration: interconnection and cabling of MV/LV cabinets, MCC, UPS and batteries, DCS/ICSS, fibre optic cabinets, transformers and control consoles, together with PAGA, VHF radio and CCTV telecommunication systems. Its specialists also supervise start-up and commissioning on site, through to final validation and handover.
Facilities
Alex Sistemi operates from the Magenta headquarters, from Ossona, the Group’s historic headquarters and production hub, from Inveruno, dedicated to the production and assembly of industrial structures, and from Guasticce (Livorno), the production facility for the Oil & Gas sector. The Guasticce yard of 95,000 m² has direct access to the dockside at the port of Livorno, allowing oversized modules to be prepared and loaded directly for shipment.
Certified quality
The company’s ISO 9001:2015 management system, certified by DNV for the Ossona, Inveruno and Guasticce sites, covers the design, manufacture, assembly, qualification and testing of shelters, containers and cabinets equipped with electric, electronic, telecommunication, HVAC and fire-fighting systems, as well as special equipment and metal structures. Alex Sistemi is also certified to CSA W47.1 Division 2 by the Canadian Welding Bureau.
