Overview
Alex Sistemi shelters are built on ISO 10′, 20′ and 40′ formats to NATO S-250, S-280 and S-788 standards, compatible with military platforms and NATO containers. They are air-transportable, auto-levelling and supplied fully equipped: electrical systems, HVAC, communications and operator consoles are integrated in the factory and the shelter is delivered ready for plug-and-play use.
Fixed shelters
Fixed shelters offer a protected, climate-controlled working or technical space in a rigid ISO envelope, for installations where the internal layout is permanent and transport volume is not the limiting factor.
Expandable shelters
Expandable configurations significantly increase operational space once installed, while retaining compact ISO dimensions for transport. Expansion is designed for rapid, repeatable deployment in the field.
Protection and environments
Shelters are built in carbon steel, stainless steel or aluminium and qualified for desert, marine and land environments. Protection features include EMI shielding, NBC filtration and pressurisation systems, water-tight and dust-tight environmental sealing and resistance to severe operating conditions. Related solutions include bullet-proof shelters, tactical communication shelters, NBC filtration units and custom-built HVAC units for extreme environments.
Qualification and testing
Shelters are tested for real military operating conditions: extreme temperatures, transport and vibration, structural and environmental loads. Thermal transfer, operational temperature and immersion capability tests have been passed for desert, marine and land environments. Factory testing covers dimensional control, painting and coating, electrical tests (continuity, rigidity, earthing, insulation), functional equipment tests, rain test, load and drop tests, pressure and leak tests, weld inspection (PT, MT, UT) and thermal testing from −35 °C to +70 °C.

Design complies with MIL-STD 907, MIL-STD 810, MIL-STD 461/462, MIL-STD 285, MIL-STD 1472 and MIL-STD 889, ASTM 1925-99 (formerly MIL-STD 907-B), NATO S-250 / S-280 / S-788, NATO I/II – ACE I/II/III and TULPS.
